The goal of this Joint Planning Commission (www.occzoning.com)
is to
establish a program of land protection for the Cities of Hartford and Beaver
Dam, KY. The objective is to guide the use of land and the location and design
of structures in a manner that will stabilize property values, assist in
achieving a sound growth policy, promote an orderly pattern of land use, and
direct development of community facilities and
services within the jurisdiction of the Cities of Hartford and Beaver Dam, KY.
To
achieve these goals and objective, the Hartford/Beaver Dam Joint Planning
Commission requires that most construction projects obtain building and zoning
permits prior to beginning construction on a project. Accordingly,
your first stop to obtain the necessary development and construction
permits in Hartford and Beaver Dam is the Hartford/Beaver Dam Joint Planning
Commission office for a permit. There, zoning and building construction questions can be answered
by the Administrative Officer, Nancy Hoover.
Some types of applications can be processed using
the telephone,
however, most building and zoning permit applicants, or their representatives, should plan to
visit the Hartford/Beaver Dam Joint Planning Commission office to get a proper and complete review of their
applications and pay their permit fees. The office is located at:
